We went to Utah in December to see Jordan's band concert. It was good fun, albeit an insanely short trip. Find the link at the end of this post to see the photos from our Witness Protection Blog. But here's proof we were in Utah:
What!? That doesn't look like the interior of a gymnastics facility in the Salt Lake area to you? You're obviously not looking closely enough.
Then there was Christmas, and what for us is the onset of the Great Kid Shuffle. We had Sam and Jordan for the first half, while my kids were visiting their padre. Then we sent JnS home, and threw a bunch more presents under the tree for my kids. Insanity. But awesome to be able to make memories with our children, regardless of the logistics of it all.

Now. I apologize in advance to all my vegan friends (which, by the way, seem to be growing in number all the time! This is a very popular lifestyle, this veganism.) but I made what is BY FAR the yummiest roast of ALL TIME. I bought a tri tip roast, and asked the butcher to butterfly it. Then I bought a pork loin roast, and rolled it up inside the tri tip. I rolled a few lemon slices, some thyme, and a bunch of seasonings up with it as well. Tied it up with some butcher string, roasted it for awhile, and DEAR ABBY. Moist, tender, juicy, the list of positive adjectives is never-ending. And of course my carnivorous husband loved it, which made the whole thing all the more satisfying for me.
And on New Year's Eve, I let the fam eat the crap they so love. We also had Christopher, Ann's little guy. We had a blast together, and the kids all made it to midnight. We played games, watched a movie, and caught a few fireworks in the neighborhood.

Lastly, today, my man took his position as First Sergeant. He has been really looking forward to it since we moved here, and I am so proud of him. He was hand-selected, and very sought after. He is truly amazing at what he does. I'm sorry that the person who took this picture has some kind of SEIZURE DISORDER and couldn't hold the camera steady enough to get a NICE CLEAR PICTURE. Jeeze. Like it's so hard.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, that roaaaaaaaaast! I am practically weeping at the beauty that is that roast. Wow.
Great top picture of the two of you! `
You also look very beautiful in the, seizure disorder, picture. I can tell...even though the picture isn't as clear as you may have hoped.
Congratulations to Skip! That's fantastic! You are looking stunning as usual!
The roast looks simply amazing!! I'm kinda annoyed that you were in Utah, even for a short trip and you didn't call ;-)
You and Skip don't have 1 bad pic I swear. Even the kinda blurry one at the bottom.
Off to read the witness protection post!
Could you two be any more attractive or photogenic? No, I don't think so!
I think you have gotten prettier every month since I first met you. What's your anti-aging secret?
