Day Three

Overall, another good day. Things worthy of note:

1. My kids may fight like demons, but they know how to work. Saturday is chore day. I said "Time for chores!" and 40 minutes later, we were done. Also, note the gloves on my son. When I asked him "What's up with the gloves, little man?" He replied, "It's called being sanitary mom." Could I feel any more pride? They were also super sweet and pitched in to help us get Skip's chores done as well.

2. Lunch with people I love. Friends were passing through town, so we met up at a yummy restaurant and had a great time.

3. Went to the mall with Ann. Let our kids play in the Apple store for an hour. Free babysitting at its best.
4. I earned $3.00 today. Thanks to a little love and a lot of logic, I have learned to charge my children for fighting in the car. Remember the sweet angels I described up in Highlight Number One? Yeah, well, by about 4:30 today, driving home from the mall, they weren't quite as sweet anymore. I reminded them that bickering in the vehicle endangers our safety, and I charge one dollar per episode. Cha-CHING! I accept cash, coin, and hard labor.
I texted Skip several times today. His phone will probably reach some kind of capacity before he even turns it back on again in two weeks, but it makes me feel closer to him. I also may or may not have sniffed his dirty tshirt today.

Yes, my heart would have swelled with pride if I had a child that said, "It's called being sanitary mom." like yours did. I may have even been moved to tears.

I love your kitchen flooring. It is such a beautiful color.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeaaaaaaaah. Way to rake in the dough for fighting in the car.

I want you to write me an instructional Pampers on chores for your kids. Mine are just getting old enough and I'm good a following through, but I have no clue what I am doing!

And I smell Ryan's dirty shirts all the time :)
