This month snuck up on me. I have to be honest, I've been in a winter funk. The constant rain and blah of this area for months on end succeeded in forcing me to match my mood to its ways. I have barely snapped any photos, and suddenly I found myself in need of a blog post. So I scrolled through my phone to see what it had to offer. Consider this a day in the life of my cell phone. A few random events and screen captures sum up my March fairly accurately.
1. One good thing... my man and I have been trying to incorporate a few more dates in the month. Life with five kids and two full time jobs is so insanely busy, that at the end of the day I look at him and think, "Huh. Who's that guy." Here he is on our date to a fairly impressive car museum, sizing up a '63 corvette, which he dreams of one day owning. Dates are good for the marriage. I recommend them.
2. Saw this floating around the interwebs, and screen captured it. So true. So very true.
3. Had a great lesson at church today on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Repentance is an amazing thing, and I appreciated this thought on the difference between weakness and rebellion. There is hope in this.
4. Discovered "stickers" on PicStitch with this little darling of mine. We may have gone a little overboard, but the sun was shining and we were happy. Who can say no to that??
5. One constant for me is my job. I love my job and find such satisfaction in it. As we were in church and this quote showed up in a lesson, I couldn't help but realize how much it applies to what I do as an educator. Truly, helping typical kids understand this concept as they interact with kids who have special needs is amazing. There is love and acceptance once fear and confusion are removed. It's a process, but one which yields beautiful results.
6. And this screen capture on a conversation with my man. Freudian slip? Indeed.
7. You must make this dish. Tortellini Alfredo. My stepson whipped it up the other night, and it was out of this world delicious.
8. And lastly... how cute is this? This adorable young lady asked this handsome young man out to a formal dance by decorating his car and bringing him chocolate. Did he say yes? Of course he did. I love when teens are creative and happy.
