Lest anyone has forgotten, it IS still birthday month. For ME, that is. As of today, there are only 13 days left. Hope you're prepared! I sure am.
Anyway. I got a very funny email from Clair in honor of the ongoing festivities. She and I are the same age. She is entertaining, which is why I so enjoy her as a friend. Read on:
I like finding people the same age. It helps me feel better. (See list of actresses below) This year I have been really thinking about my age... I know some of it has to do with being pregnant and having to be on the geriatric list since I will be 35 before I deliver.
Anyway, want to know who else is our age? Juliette Lewis, Tyra Banks, Neve Campbell, Tori Spelling, Gretchen Wilson (nevermind her, you hate Country), Tina Yothers (family ties) and Monica Lewinsky (would rather not know that one.) Okay, so the list isn't THAT impressive, but Juliette Lewis is kind of cool.
In better news, Jennifer Gardner is a whole year OLDER than us.
...but we have 2 years on Drew Barrymore.
And there are plenty of actresses who are nearly a decade older than us and still look good- Sandra Bullock, Marisa Tomei, and Lisa Kudrow.
That's more than enough useless information for today. Now why don't I go do something productive like mop the floors...
Hmm. So. This got me thinking. Tyra, huh? I'm fairly narcissistic about my birthday, she's fairly narcissistic about... well... Tyra.
Can you imagine the birthday episode on the Tyra Banks show? Tina Yothers, Tori Spelling and Monica Lewinsky in bathing suits with their weight across the front, all yelling at us to share our personal weaknesses so they can feel better about theirs. Sorry, Tina, your bulimia wins. Sorry, Tori, your infidelity wins. Sorry Monica, your... cigar? wins.
I'll enjoy my non-celebrity birthday. There will be no Cristal bubbling over and no paparazzi. But I also get to keep all my life's secrets to myself.

um...excuse me....may I please retract an earlier statement that I made? Please disregaurd the fact that I said "juliette lewis is kind of cool." After doing a bit of research and looking for pictures to use on a birthday post of my own I have decided she is, to put it politely- very freaky. It's like she could have been cool if she didn't totally wig out on herself and the planet. Unfortunately that leaves Andrea and me in not so very good company...if anyone knows anyone born in the year 1973 who is a decent actor or fairly successful person please let me know.

Your lucky you get to totally milk the whole month long as your birthday month before you actually HIT your birthday. For those of us with b-days at the start of the month...well, once it comes and goes, nothin' special for the rest of the month. *shrug*
I'm willing to wager that you'll be enjoying a Much happier 35th birthday with your wonderful, now eternal, husband -- and all those cutie kids.
Tino Yothers is still haning in to "celebrity" by her baby fat...she's on the new season of Celebrity Fit Club after having given birth 6 weeks prior. (sad that I watched and know this.)

I like the idea of celebrating for a whole month. Way to keep the focus on you. Does your family participate in the celebrating or are you on your own? I need to know just how to do it.

Happy Birthday... in a little while! It's nice to find someone that actually wants to celebrate it rather than smash, stomp, kick, or spit on it. You know the type... the ones that give you the look whenever you bring up their birthday. Bunch of party poopers. I was also going to ask you, when you made your book on blurb.com did you have to do it all at once or were you able to save a little as you went and go back later to finish? I need to know if I need to schedule a whole day to get this bad boy done. It's such a great idea and I'm very glad to learn that you can do it.
