Awww...

Skip has been gone since Sunday. I was looking at our phone bill today... we have talked on the phone 37 times, and sent 84 text messages. Yes, that would be in four days. He's such a great guy, he sent me this on Wednesday:

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."

I think I'm a very, very lucky woman. I love my husband... and how great is it that he knows how to love me in a way that makes me feel so complete? I hate being away from him, and I appreciate that he wants to spend his time with me.

Can't wait to see you again baby!! I love you!

I seriously talk to my husband that much, and my friends were shocked. I'm sending them over here.

Hey, I thought Murray and I were the only couple with a marriage like that. Sounds like he's a keeper! Awww...

I think that the only good thing about having to spend so much time apart from your husband is that you really do cherish the time you spend together. I will never take for granted that Zach gets to go to church with me every Sunday now, or the fact that he is home every night.

Even if he bugs me because I blog so much. :)

Hey, I thought my marriage was the only wonderful, amazing one in the whole world. Sounds like Skip is a keeper! This is the second time I've sent this comment, didn't see the first one I sent. I will get the hand of this sooner or later. Love ya, AB

Spousal Rule #23: Never post sappy text messages/emails where coworkers of spouse can find and mock them. Damn, girl, don't endanger your marriage like that!

Here are the text messages you'll see ME sending MY spouse someday:

"I'll going to have a royal assload of laundry for you to do when I get home. Make sure to buy the fabric softener I prefer."

or

"Hope you're doing lotsa yoga, baby, cause Big Daddy's coming home tomorrow."

Yeah, I know, who'da thunk I had it in me, right?

Ain't that cute. What am I supposed to say?

Me and my husband barely communicate when he's gone and I'm fine with that. He never bears his testimony of me in Sacrament meeting either. Still, we manage. Hubba.

Love that you are married to a romantic AND a handsome man in a uniform. Me thinks you hit the lottery.

The only thing I like about my hubby going out of town is that he misses me and calls me and talks to me all the time while he is gone. When he is in town, I never hear from him and he is too tired to talk to me much at night. He's still good to me, but I definately don't mind that he misses me when he's gone.

Now on to your 80's post....
I can't seem to comment on it and I am dying here. That is the funniest post I've read today! I have a camp necklace like that, I had ribbon barrettes like those, I had hair like that but we called it dog-poop bangs because of the perfect circle. Rock band t-shirts and sappy love songs and TP-ing the boys you liked. Those were fun times. My kids definately don't have it as good. This was fun! Thanks for bringing up all my hidden memories.
