We got married in December of 06. We were sealed in January of 08. Mika (meeka), Noelani (noah-lani) & Keola (kay-OH-la) are mine, Jordan and Samantha are Skip's. We only have five kids for a total of 3-5 weeks a year. That's why we succeed. I hate it though. I would love to have Jordan and Sam with us all the time. We miss them so much. But we maintain a Brady-Bunch manner by throwing footballs at their noses when they act up.

-Can't beat the military benefits. Especially if they die.
-My husband has been snipped... prior to my arrival. Plus we have five already, who have a lot of needs. I would love to have Skip's child, if we were ten years younger and had no other children.
-I was obsessed with my birthday through college. Since then, I've tried to tone it down a bit. Oddly, people found me obnoxious. But I couldn't resist exploiting the blog forum this year.
-Bday alone = bad. Not lucky. (plus, the three kids are still here, making "alone" unachievable)
-My kids' father is Samoan. Hence the "different" names.
-I did not like being single. It was lonely and difficult. Plus, no sex. (Sorry Mom and Dad.) Although I did get the whole bed to myself, which I loved.
-He came back from Iraq a couple years ago. He will hopefully retire before he has to go again.

-Skip will love this one. Thanks, Cindi. I actually used to keep a list. (I make a lot of lists. This one was, perhaps, the dumbest.) My goal was to kiss 100 before I got married. I made it to 76. If you count the people I've married, it's 78. I hate that I know that. And I hate that you know some of them.

We were friends in a previous life. I moved away, and down the road we both ended up divorced. A mutual friend kept in touch with him while he was in Iraq. She told me that he was single now, and I told her to find out if he knew I was as well. She put us in touch with each other, and it was instant.

You know, I hate this question because I don't have one. I like to share my son's, however, because it is horrible. He played flag football last fall, and had windpants that snapped up the side. Someone grabbed his flag while he was running with the ball, and pulled so hard they whipped his pants right off. He is a beanpole like me, so there he was with his stork legs and knobby knees, in his underwear, in the middle of the field. I was embarrassed for him. Does that count?

I struggle the opposite way. When things got really bad in my life a few years back, in spite of still eating regularly, I dropped about 12 pounds. It was not cute at all. 5'7" 108 lbs. Yuck.

-Alfred. The B stands for his last name, which starts with B, and since we have the same initials, I just call him B.
-I have always really enjoyed his company and had a lot of respect for him. Since we have been married, my friends who have known me for years and years have told me how happy they are to see me "back to my old self." That is why I love him so madly, because I can be myself and I like who I am. Also, I think it being a second marriage, we both just let a lot of stupid stuff go. That makes it easier to love and enjoy each other. But enough about him. It's taking the focus off me.

I hate the effects of the war, but I support it because part of the Army mission is to "overcome any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperil the peace and security of the United States." That happened on 9/11 and until those insurgent forces are broken, it is likely to happen again.
Would you want your children to be in the military?
They're too young to fire weapons, and they don't make uniforms small enough. Get back to me in ten years.

Neighborhood, but with lots of "nowhere" included. It's gorgeous. Who knew Idaho had it in her?

Observations:
1) Interesting answer to the "Do you support the War" question. As a big liberal Democrat, I'd have expected a different answer from you.
2) While I got mentioned a lot, I should have been mentioned more.
3) While I am NOT black, bald, and Skip, I AM tan, rested, and ready.
4) Am I the only person who grew up in New England who would be perfectly happy if I never went back there again? I honestly don't see why all of our old childhood friends want to go back so badly, you included.
5) I can't believe someone mentioned Don! Whoops, sorry, dON. Always a lower case "d". Just as the emotional scars were healing, someone whips that name out on you. I'm sorry, Andre'. You shouldn't have had to go through that.

Ahh, see, I just was telling my husband that one of the things about Andrea is that she was sort of a sister I didn't have (at the time...don't want the one that showed up at 13 year old to feel she isn't loved.)
Anyway, Andrea, seeing you are that exactly 7 day's older, I find it EASY to let you stake claim to Steve as your brother also. Besides, he has WAY too much personality for only 7 siblings to TRUELY appreciate. (and whew, I'm kinda happy to hear you two never made out. One of those things I never would have asked, but glad to hear the answer.)

I'm glad you are 35 now. For some reason I thought you were just turning 30 and that seemed way too young for us to be real friends. But, seeing as I am only 2 1/2 years older than you, I think we will get along just fine.
