The View Out My Kitchen Window... and more.

There is so much construction in our neighborhood, that usually when I look out my kitchen window, all I see is lumber and dirt. But today, the lawnboy was at work. Hubba hubba.

So here's the house. They are building across from us, behind us, and to the right of us. They still haven't built to the left of us yet though, which is great because I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have construction going on at 5am every day to wake me up. Looking forward to more.

Here's the kitchen. Obviously, I didn't do a good job of staging my photo since my dish towel is askew. But I like my kitchen. It's a bit small, but I think it's beautiful.

This is that big, open entry hall that has me nervous. We have no furniture for the formal living room yet, so it sits empty. By "empty" I mean "full of boxes and random items that we have yet to find a home for." But do you love the hardwood? I do.

And lastly, we've been spending a lot of time at the beach lately. It's been great. GO HERE to see more. My husband goes back to work next week, and I'm already depressed over it. We have been hanging out for a whole month now, and I hate to see it come to an end.

*Pardon my windblown hair and his farmer's tan. We let our pride go.

I love NEW.
I think YOU would love those stools painted black. High end spray paint'll do the trick.
All LOVELY.

It is such a cute house, I love it.
And you kitchen doesn't look small to me. Why not walk though my neighborhood that was 75% speculation and check out the 5000-6000 sq. foot homes that have condo size kitchens because the straw buyers were trying to skimp on money. Craziest looking homes ever.

My dumb iphone was not letting me comment on this post, so I specially got on my computer so I could tell you: NICE house. I really really like the colors (referring here to the paint and wood, not the farmer's tan) and I think the kitchen looks like a good one.

The NEXT time we come to Seattle, we'll be sure to check it out in person. =)

I am green with house envy. That entryway is gorgeous, daunting yes, but still spectacular. And, apparently my kitchen is minuscule if yours is "a little small," but then I don't cook as much as you do so I can see where you might want more...counter, turning around, passing, booty shaking space.

Congratulations!

Your kitchen is gorgeous and I especially am in love with your floors. That's what my floors will hopefully look like next spring...
and that tan is ridiculous! Really that man is almost creamy!

Hey, nothing says sexy like windblown hair and a farmer's tan. You people are so great looking...I didn't notice either.

I LOVE your house. I mean it. I REALLY, REALLY LOVE IT. I am a bit jealous...but more than jealousy, I feel so happy for you to have such a lovely home!!

The kitchen is gorgeous and I LOVE the entry way. I think open space like that is good for the soul. I also love the color on the walls and the outside color of the house. The browns against the crisp white is lovely.

Linsey made me laugh. "Booty shaking space." A good kitchen does need ample space to shake your booty. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

I am sad that he has to go back to work, too. Mike went back yesterday and I am in withdrawls.

The house looks amazing. Love all your colors, textures and variety...in the house too. Put a small table under the light in the entry. Small enough for a vase of flowers and a family photo and thats it, otherwise it will become a catch-all. Can't wait to see what you do with a blank slate.
